DVD Format

    A friend of mine bought me a DVD from Hong Kong, but my DVD player won't let me play on my TV. I think it's because of the regional format restriction. Is there any way that I can play on my DVD player?

    Depends on your player. Some of them have switches :dunno:

    most disc have region coding. sounds like your player only supports region 1 which is north america.

    yup, and Hong Kong dvd's are region 3.
    you might be able to find some info about ur player on the internet......if its possible to make it play multiple regions (im not sure how much im allowed to tell u about this on these boards :ugh: )

    lol theres not that much to tell
    just google for it....ur brand/type player and something like "region free" or "region crack" will give u enough info in most cases
