I installed XP SP2 recently and my DVD burner (Sony 2.4x +-R/W) will show up under "My Computer," but when I put in a DVD video disk, DVD disk with windows files, or even a burned CD in it, it will not recognize the disk. So I need some drivers or something? There were none included with the DVD drive when I bought it, and it worked out of the box when used with SP1.

Something similar happened to me. I can no longer open the drive. I am not sure if anyhting can be read from it, because I dont have a pin to open the drive, but it is recognized by windows, and by bios, but it just wont open.

That sounds like a hardware problem. After I installed SP2 my CD drive wouldnt open, but I kept pressing the button, and after a few presses it opened.
