hmm, i've been workin on this a bit and can't seem to figure it out.

when i play dvds recently on my computer, the audio for the actor's voices doesn't play, but the background music does. i reinstalled my codecs, and have tried on both windows media player classic as well as 9.0 or 10.0. whatever the regular windows media player is. same in both cases

never had this problem before. plays music and avi movies just fine.

hmmm, seems it must be something fucked up with media player. classic never gave me any trouble, but vlc is doing the trick.

Might be something with the speaker arrangement
Do you have front audio? Are you using it?

A friend of mine had a problem with WMP10. Some files would play through the front audio/headphones while others would play through the rear ports/speakers
