i went DD'ing the other day at some office complexes. my friend and i had to go through about 35 dumpsters before we came across anything computer wise.
there was a dumpster behind a network solutions company that had at least 150 old PC's tossed in it. although we had no need for extra monitors, there were about 20 or so 18'' monitors.
we did grab some dell quiet keys, power cables, credit card and check swipers, and a compaq prolinea 33s running at a massive 66mhz, woot.
it has an os called BART, and it was used for inventory information at a budget rental car place... but all options are passworded :(

    post your experiences.

edit: reason why we didnt get anymore pc's is because the 66mhz was the best one there:rofl:

oh I have so many DD experiences. The best involved a Sun Microsystems SCSI fiber-channel RAID array, and several 21" SGI/Sun monitors and workstations.

That is how I get new monitors all the time, I found a bran new NEC monitor, 21 inches of goodness. There was a missing pin, and it was a redundant pin, so the monitor worked fine. I still can't figure out why they picted a working monitor.
