Where is the best place to get them? I can only find the expensive machined aluminum snap caps. My local indoor range has huge bags of dummy rounds for $1 a piece, that have a plastic primer and plastic bullet, but metal case, but they won't sell me a whole bag, and if I could find them I'd rather get it cheaper some where else anyway...any ideas?

    thanks

what calibers are you looking for?

Most all center fire pistols don't really require a snap cap at all. I only use them to train my "tap rack" drills. But I make my own.

    9mm and .40 cal

I don't want them for dry fire, I want them for mag failure drills, etc. And I keep losing them down range when I clear the gun.

I'm wondering what the criteria is for mailing "dummy ammo". If I find out it's cool I can make a few I'll throw some in the mail for you.

That would be sweet! I would imagine it would be ok, but who knows with the USPS

No primer or powder won't have any restrictions.
