At the least somewhere that you have some added shelter or mobility. Not trapped on a boat 25 yards away as the flaming rocket of death nears :big grin:

I dont wear ear muffs or glasses while shooting:dunno:

I hope at the least when you take a girl shooting you insist she wear eye protection. You can risk your own but should be protecting those that don't necessarily know how important it is.

some people aren't getting any sex for a long time.

I shot a DE .50 back when I was in middle school and I avoided getting punched by the gun.

You can't talk bad about the first guy, he's wearing a "Fuck Ya'll I'm from Texas" shirt. He obviously is too manly for pussy ear muffs, if he loses his hearing his ears must have just been weak.:ugh2:

I don't understand people's fascination with "bump-firing". Inaccurate, wasteful, dangerous. One good shot would be way better than 20 missed shots.

Because very few people get a chance to fire an actual fully automatic weapon, and that's the closest thing we can legally get. :hs: I doubt many people go to the range every week and bump fire all their ammo. Plus the videos are fun to watch. :eek5:

A potentially useful way to bump fire.

Look up the shoestring letter from teh ATF, it'll probably be cited by them in this instance anyways.

They originally pretty much stated a shoestring was a machine gun, later retracted the letter saying a shoe string in itself was not a machine gun, but used in a certain way would be.

The interesting thing to note there is that this shoestring has a metal ring at the end, and the user would put his finger in the metal ring and pull... And with one pull of the ring, for as long as a user keeps tension on it, the gun will fire rapidly. The true trigger thus becomes a sear, along with the bolt -- with the string being the trigger, and since only one pull of the trigger (string) will fire multiple shots, it is a machine gun as defined by the ATF.

However, the rubber band method, or other bump-fire methods would not be deemed as a machine gun because you only get 1 shot per pull of the trigger -- you're simply making the trigger reset easier!

The ATF is rather infamous for being inconsistent and prone to mind changes, especially as you get creative in this department. See the atf's recent reversal of opinion on the akins accelerator.
