u can use either ur existing agp card with another pci card

    or

get a dvi-vga convertor and connect both monitors to ur existing agp card that's if it supports dual monitors

$400-$450 for the monitor and around $120 for the video card.

i'm not a hard core gamer, but enough to play counter strike and other FPS shooters.

now you're making me think twice. the 19 inch is indeed a big difference to 15". but in terms of quality of image, is there a big difference to a LCD flat?

Yes. I'm running a TV as my secondary monitor. It's actually pretty sweet. I've got my 15" Viewsonic LCD as my primary monitor, which is small but still big enough for surfing the web and such, and then I've got my 27" TV as a secondary monitor for anything video. In addition, its all hooked up to my new surround sound stereo system. Not perfect, but pretty damn good for my 10' x 15' dorm room.

But I want a bigger LCD monitor. :x:

    2 19s? Bah.

Get two Viewsonic 22 inchers. Viewsonic > *.displayDevice

Two PF815s would rock your world.

If you really do want an LCD, hold out for a Dell deal. They come around every couple months and they're usually super hot.

i'm thinking about 2 15" inch LCD monitors, 1 17" or 19" LCD monitor, or probably 2 19" inch CRT monitors. what do you guys recommend?

i guess i have to raise my budget after all.
