MMA (DSPNLM) Nick's Workout/Diet

    So here is my MMA training diet/workout for the working professional with kids. The workout is done over my lunch hour at my company’s free gym and my MMA is done on the weekend at Reinhardt’s MMA because my evenings are full of taking care of newborn twins. The diet is as simple as possible and mostly structured around working at my desk all day. A variety of hot salads offered by the cafeteria and the occasional WW meal gives me some variety to my lunch. I try to mix in a lot of proteins and still get in fruits, vegetables and other vitamins throughout the day. I take a multivitamin to supplement what I don’t get from the Slim Fast Shake. This usually works for me to cut down to my goal weight but I’m open to suggestions. I’m going to start the diet next week 7/23/07 and document my progress here.


    Workout

    Monday: 30 minutes stair climber
    Tuesday: 50 pushups, 50 crunches, 20 dips, 20 pull-ups, 20 curls, 20 rows
    Wednesday: 30 minutes running
    Thursday: 50 pushups, 50 crunches, 20 dips, 20 pull-ups, 20 curls, 20 rows
    Friday: 30 minutes jump rope
    Saturday: 1 hour BJJ, 1 hour MT, 1 hour MMA
    Sunday: Church, Rest

    Diet

    Breakfast: Cup of Coffee, Slim Fast Shake
    Lunch: Chef Salad/Hot Salad or Frozen Weight Watcher Meal
    Snack: Fat Free Butter Individual Size Popcorn and Fruit
    Dinner: Lean Beef, Chicken or Pork, Carb/Starch, Vegetable
    Other: 6 bottles water throughout day, Multivitamin

    are you looking to lean out more? what about pushing weights?

    For now I am looking to lean out. The tuesday/thursday workout will change to weights eventually. It will be basically the same muscle groups that I work but with weights.

    My new diet (cutting):

    7:00am: ECA stack
    7:15am: Oatmeal & two hardboiled egg whites
    10:00am: large serving of cottage cheese & fat free light yogurt
    12:00pm: run 30 minutes row 15minutes
    1:00pm: can of tuna, stalk of celery, 2 hardboiled egg whites
    4:00pm: either yogurt and cottage cheese or more eggs or a salad
    5:00pm: ECA stack
    6:00pm: 1 hour of MT with light cardio warm up before
    7:30pm: chicken breast with a salad or veggies
    9:00pm: either cottage cheese with berries, or a rice cake and a sugar free popsicle
    10:00pm: try to fall asleep

    Hopefully in 2 weeks when i get a tad more fat off:
    6:00am: ECA stack
    6:15am: run for 30min
    7:00am: oatmeal and 2 hardboiled eggwhites
    10:00am: cottage cheese & yogurt
    11:00am: muscle stack
    12:00pm: weight lifting
    1:00pm: can of tuna or chicken breast and 3 hardboiled egg whites
    4:00pm: 1 or 2 egg whites and a salad
    6:00pm: MT for an hour
    7:30pm: chicken breast with veggies
    9:00pm: cottage cheese with berries, or rice cake and sugar free popsicle

    This I plan on doing three days a week, two days a week I will not run and instead try to get in an hour of bjj before MT. Then run saturday and sunday mornings.




    this is my revised diet after help from others, I may add more food to it soon but I want to see how well I work with this much right now. Also, i hate protein shakes sand would rather avoid taking them. Always open to advice or criticism.

    is this in regards to me? I believe you originally had my second stack at 6pm or something. I'll move that ahead to 2pm. I'm not sure what else I can eat for lunch. a can of tuna or a chicken breast will pretty much fill me up.

    and i dont have too much trouble sleeping, melatonin is awesome!!!


    Taking this stack is forcing me to drink tons of water, but i think everyone at work thinks i have terrible diarrhea because i am going to the bathroom every 10 minutes.

    I think he means he pee's alot.

    I swear I take a piss every 10 minutes with the amount of water I drink.

    yeah. I drink so much water I cant stop pissing.

    I might cut my pills in half though cause my heart is racing a little which I am sure is normal, but i am not a fan of it.
