A&P DSLR CREW, what does OT think of the Rebel XSI?

    Im going to be taking a lot of night shots. My friends XTI doesnt have it, my friends Olympus 510 does. The live view at night is pretty useful.

    Yeah, ive noticed a few people pretty rattled by this, but I dont understand why...

    I didn't know the Rebels didn't have a top LCD.

    SD is a 4-bit databus, while CF is 16-bit. Theoretically should be much faster, and seems to be much faster in practice as well.




    Also, everyone knows that CF = pro :bigthumb:

    because if canon is switching to SD in the rebel series it could mean they'll switch to SD for the XXD and XD series cameras and we'll have a bunch of useless CF cards if we get new bodies :noes:

    or they could just be doing it for the rebels to make the transition easier from p&s

    thats what i was thinking :dunno: but christ, you can grab good cf for ~20 bucks, it hardly makes sense...

    SD isn't that much more, smaller slot in the camera

    I think its to encourage more people to upgrade from P&S cameras.

    also, i think someone who is considering leaving their 300-500 dollar P&S to make the ~$1000 plunge into slr territory wont hinge their decision on keeping their flash memory... :dunno:

    the bigger lcd should be nice. i never have to chimp to preview pictures on my 40d compared to the xt/xti.
