my skins gets really dry during the winter and i find that smothering them in lotion as often as i can (like 6+ times a day) helps out.

You can get shit specifically made for cracking dry hands. Just look around at your local store. It's the same consistency as like neosporin, so it stays on your hands.

Eucarin....or Eucerin...something like that. I put it on my hends when I go to bed and put gloves on. Shit is likr a petroleum based product so you need to have the gloves on...but when you wake up, your hands feel like new.

I am having the exact same problem, in fact I have a couple of nasty cracks on my hands right now. What I did is clean it then seal it up with liquid bandage (Band Aid brand is the only one that really works). I consulted a pharmacist and he recommend a product called Zim's Crack Creme which I am applying to my callouses and other rough spots. I also picked up some athletic tape and wrap the problem areas before lifting (to guard against abrasion where my gloves don't reach).

For dry hands try hydrocortisone, over the counter stuff should do ok. If not, go to a dermatologist for a prescription. Shit works wonders.

I was once afflicted with this. Make a fist and feel the skin tear.
I've changed a few things and now it never happens.
Humidifier is a must. Full blast at night.
Also at night: Gold Bond Ultimate healing lotion with aloe
During the day: any normal hand lotion.
If you clean your dishes by hand; Dish soap with lotion or "sensitive skin". Especially if you cook all of your own food and eat like 6 meals.
In fact all soap you use should say "for sensitive skin" on it.
