WEB DRUPAL wtf..

    so uhh.. i was gunna reinstall it.. so i made a new database and deleted all the files.. but the 'sites' folder doesnt want to get deleted :ugh: and thats where all the database settings are... i cant overwrite setting.php either :ugh: wat to do?

    Are you logged in as the user who created those directories/files?

    Try logging in as root and taking care of the problem.

    reason I asked is I had a similar problem. Once I renamed the file it let me delete it

    Drupal's installation routine sets the owner of the files directory inside the sites folder and the settings.php as httpd, so if you don't have root you may not be able to delete it. You can probably move it somewhere, rename it and ignore it, or have your host delete it for you.
