enterprise "upgraded" me to one when I went on vacation...

all I have to say is

horrid gas mileage, less than average cargo room, few extras, difficult to drive compared to others that size, etc

did it mention they are ugly as sin?

The only thing that impressed me about the Commander is how well they hold up in a front end crash. I saw one last year that was moving 55mph and struck head-on by a honda civic that was traveling over 100 mph. The civic was literally ripped in half on the passenger compartment side of the firewall and the driver was deceased. The family of five in the Commander walked away with no passenger compartment damage.

I know it was an SUV vs. a tiny compact, but you still usually see more passenger compartment damage.
