I need to drop the weight of my Gi (HCKs suck in this respect) before the 14th.
clean up your diet... or you can just spit it out, sour skittles and an empty bottle of gatorade. spit until it's full and you've got a lb. we used to do that on the ride to tourneys so we could drink water the night before during wrestling season.
I'm a vegetarian.
I'm doing fruits veggies and no-carb shakes. Should be fine.
but animals taste so good

how much weight you need to drop?
4-5 lbs should do it. I'd rather it not be water weight, but if it comes down to it...

its called cutting weight man, you do what you have to do. it's not a fun thing, that's for sure.

I never understood this, what is the difference between the two for you?
Dropping 4-5 lbs in over 10 days should be no problem at all if you are serious about it. Cleaning up your diet should do it.
I don't like the taste of beef/pork/chicken/turkey? I honestly don't care about a difference from a moral standpoint, because that has nothing to do with why I don't eat meat.
Also, (often, not always) fish is better for you nutritionally than land animal meat. Obviously there are exceptions between lean/clean meats and the fattier fish, but in my experiance it's often the case.
