So where do you brollies get your dress shirts?

I'm about 205lbs 5' 9" around 11% or so with shoulders wider than my waist, and pretty big arms.

Naturally, my shorter build, with shoulders/arms bigger than most people with my 32/33 waist size is making it VERY hard to find dress shirts.

Where do those of you with problems like me buys dress shirts? I recently updated my wardrobe with a few new suits, and the tailor measured my dress shirt size, and they're too big. He said my build doesn't allow me to have form fitting dress shirts :squint:

I tend to like tighter, more form-fitting dress clothing.

H & M dress shirts fit well, but are not dressy enough to wear with a suit. Express MX shirts fit pretty well but I'd like to have shirts with more variety instead of neon-solid colors, lol.

I do have a couple Alfani shirts that fit decently.

Seeing if there's anything out there for under $60 a shirt that works for dudes like me.

    Thanks:x:

I also have this problem where my dress shirts fit fine on the shoulders, chest and arms...but then there's tons of extra fabric around the waist. :wtc:

    Yep. Sucks.

When tucked it in flares out on the side of the waist and bunches up bad in the back. Looks really unprofessional/sloppy/lazy with my dress coat off.

Yeah, the 2 shirts I have from them are real right in the shoulders/arms/chest and are like XXL's. I'd be fine with that except that at 5' 9" it goes down to my knees in length

Seems all the suits/shirts that look really good and fit well are meant to fit people who are like 6' tall and weight 150lbs!

Do tailors do dress shirts? How much does that usually run?

Between a $60 shirt and then tailoring I don't wanna spend nearly $100 for a shirt. I'd really like to find a shirt that fit decently out of the package.

    I'm a poor student hombre.

The express MX shirts fit decently. I would just like to find a shirt that is more wrinkle-free and of higher quality/color but fits as well.

All my Express MX shirts start to fad after 5 washes.

    $60 is my ceiling son.

I have some $80-$120 shirts from Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren and such, but that was when I was making more money working and was fat. That stuff is huge on me now.

Most of my recently bought shirts are around $40 from Express or Alfani.

But I just picked up a couple suits and the dude sold me on 4 shirt, about $60 each because he said they were "no iron" and form fitting. I tried them on and they fit like shit.... Much worse than my Express/Alfani shirts.

Just wondering if any of you have a go-to brand. I'd be willing to drop $60/70 on a great fitting shirt... that's how hard it is to find one!

    .

When I was straped for cash AKA grad school, this was not an option.

These days, I go to men's warehouse, and get fitted shirts, 16.5 38/39 and have them tailored, comes out to about 100.00 a shirt, but they look good. I have not spent the time to find a taylor to make me shirts, but when I am finally at my desired bodyfat level, this will happen. :bigthumb: probably gonna be quite a bit more thna the men's warehouse ones.

Italian brands are more tapered towards the waist.

Find an outlet if price is an issue.

Lots of companies make "athletic cut" which is a bit smaller in the waste and wider in the shoulders. I still have to go up in size, but it's not as bad as most dress shirts.
