I saw this movie for old time sakes since last time i saw it was in the theaters back in the day, and it's a damn shame that it wasn't nominated for anything, especially for best actor. Jason Scott Lee's performance was absolutetly amazing.

Sometimes i doubt these award shows, but i have to admit the 1993 and 94 line up of movies was awesome too. If you haven't seen this movie add it to your list it's simply great. :)

I love the movie, but I really wish they'd release a DVD with the deleted scenes :hs:

i think i saw this movie on tv and i thought it was terrible. the makers completely fabricated stuff about bruce lee's life and turned what should have been a documentary style film into a shitty action movie.

but i could be thinking of the wrong movie.

No, I think you're thinking of the right movie. I've read almost everything ever written about or by Bruce Lee, and there was never anything about an imaginary samurai coming after Brandon. :mamoru:

I did enjoy the film though.

Yeah I think the samurai bit is weird too... I did not see much of Bruce Lee's films; I think I had only seen Enter the dragons, as he died before I was born, so he is not really the movie star of my time. I heard they will make a statue of him in HK by the end of this year; the sculptor is the same who sculpted Deng Xiao Ping.

ditto. the samurai scene as well as those random sex scenes were obviously not a part of the real story, but i doubt many people would have gone to watch a legit, documentary of bruce lee. therefore, certain events were fabricated to increase the excitement of the movie as most "true life" hollywood movies seem to do. nonetheless it was still an enjoyable movie.
