Went and saw this with my girlfriend and the gang tonight before work.
This movie would have SEVERELY disappointed me by being a very cheesy, as most PG-13 "Horror" titles are.

Sam Raimi applied a lot of comedy into the film, giving me the same feeling that 'The Happening' did, except this time I think it was on purpose.

This isn't exactly a date movie, not scary enough for that. . .and I'm not sure I ever see myself buying it on DvD. . .

But if you have a group of friends and want a pretty damned good laugh and a few jumps mixed in as well, I'd say go for it.

    I actually had a blast.

Raimi had plenty of Evil Dead references throughout the film, I won't give any away because each one was a pleasant surprise when they happened... and I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure I spotted the Necronomicon in the background of one of the scenes.

    Long Story Short...
    Serious Movie Viewers, Steer Clear.
Those looking for laughs and a good time... Fuckin' go for it.

Spoiler - A Goat calls a woman a whore.... :hsugh:

if i didn't already know what i was getting myself into before seeing it i would have be annoyed as hell by the comedy aspects but after putting that aside it was pretty enjoyable.

my only complaint is the audience i saw it with. bunch of teenage girls talked the whole time behind me. i spent most of the movie throwing my Mike & Ike's over my shoulder at them. nobody makes me wast my Mike & Ike's :squint:

Garage scene was the best WTF moment

I want to see it more because I am a Raimi fan than a horror movie fan so it sounds perfect for me.

AAR: I found it a good mix of humor and scariness. And I liked the unconvetional ending.
