Are these reliable and shoot well? I find that these are on the cheaper side for AR15.
yeah dpms is decent enough quality, Olympic my only experience is with pistol caliber upper which worked ok for me.
I've owned a DPMS, Bushy and Oly ar's. Depends on what model you're talking. Oly's get bashed because of their plinkers, but they make much more than just plinkers, but that's usually everyones experiences.
I've owned a bull barrel flat top Oly carbine for 6 years and I can shoot .5" moa with it no problem what so ever. Depends on your criteria, and depends on who you are talking to. Olympic Arms is a local company, so I try to support them.
I have an Olympic AR which has ran perfect for me. No problems whatsoever. I have no experience with DPMS.
damm dood what don't you have? Seems they all run great too.
Depends what you're gonna do with it, both would make an ok plinker but not much more.
What else would a gun be other than a plinker?
Does that mean you won't be able to take something out 300 yards away?
I think they make a cheaper model that is called the plinker. It was a cheaper model and not so reliable. I don't remember though, I haven't looked at Oly ARs in a long time.
i've had an Oly K16 for a couple of years now
shoots MOA and runs perfectly, even with shoddy cleaning
