Anyone know how? My old harddrive crashed and all my music is on my Ipod, but I haven't been able to get Itunes to actually copy to my harddrive.

    thanks

    Use this program:

    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/35148

or you can download Ipod Agent for a free trial at ipodsoft.com. You will need Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 for it to work.

you can just do a search (in hidden files and folders) or just manually go get them right off the iPod. I do this all the time to transfer to friends and family.

I honestly don't know why anyone would use anything other than this:

    http://www.mlipod.com/

It's free, it's simple, it's powerful, it has a small footprint, and it does everything you could want to do. No need for iTunes or crap like that. This takes the music both ways (onto iPod and onto computer) and runs in a program that everyone knows and loves: Winamp

I saw a good tutorial here. You can also grab a copy of Sharepod and keep it on your iPod. You can browse your entire library on your iPod and download them to a directory of your choice on your local HD.
