Free Download Manager seems to be the most popular, but as shown on Wikipedia here, Orbit Downloader has many more features and is also free.

Why don't people use that? Am I missing something? :squint:

because most websites that provide links to downloads, don't support download managers. Quit using dial-up

Rapidshare, usenet, and torrents don't suppose your cheeser download managers.

I use FDM and it works fine, except that it won't automatically send new downloads to the most recently-opened folder like I want it to.

Just use the one that comes with FireFox.
