I'm not sure if this belongs here, but it sounds close.

I have about $100 and a bunch of 20% off coupons for Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens and Things. Can I get a quality twin size comforter for that or will it leak feathers all over the place?

they will "leak" feathers, but not too much, especially if you have a duvet cover

or if you want, there are down-less comforters that are nice too, especially if you have allergies to down

$100 will get you a pretty decent comforter. also check out Macy's during their sales + ~20% coupon

i've never had a problem with my down comforter leaking feathers.. :dunno:

having grown up using down comforters, gone through maybe 5 of them- trust me on this one- you want one with lots of baffles! It's tiresome having to shake down your comforter to even the feathers out.

Listen to this man. The more baffles, the better. Also, make sure it's 100% down or else you'll have pointy things sticking out at you.

Comforters are one of those things that you'll be sleeping with EVERY night, so you should be spending as much as you can. $300 comforter spread out over 3-5 years is like 25 cents each night, and you'll be LOVING it on those cold mornings. Couple it with a high quality duvet cover and you'll really be sleeping well.

Your guests are going to like it too. :naughty:

i got a nice duck down comforter from ikea for $30

I've had it for 6 months and hasn't leaked and feathers yet, and the spread is still even.

it replaced one i got about 4 years ago which cost 3 times that, and the feathers are all spread out to the edges, none are left in the center.
