I have to transfer data from one laptop to another. Windows on the laptop that has the data I need is messed up so I can only get into DOS.

All of the DOS CD burning programs only seem to make an image file of a CD and then burn it back to another (copying CD to CD with one drive).

I need a program that I can use to select certain files etc... like Nero or Roxio.

    Any ideas?

My next step is to buy the the adapter to put the drive in a PC, but I'm not looking to spend any $$ on it since it's not even my laptop or data.

    Thanks,

    CM.

Do you have a link? From searching for Knoppix on Google, it seems to come up as a Linux program or something??

Konoppix is a linux live CD, you can run konoppix off the cd drive in your laptop and use that to burn your files.
