    I think at least 6400
to make sure I was in focus with out focusing I used like F8
only light was in the other room, and back amount off flash, but flash was auto so very low, didn't feel like SB

    I think it was 1/60 iso 6400 f8

    Was anyone else expecting a new D700, 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 f/2.8?

I am working on the 14-24, money doesn't grow on trees. It is coming just hold your horses...

No that wasn't a strobe, just the little pop up flash.

when one finally gets a d700, what is preferable first, 14-24? or 24-70?

For me, the 14-24. For a 'normal' range zoom, 24-70 is a great lens too.
