My brother has a 99 cadillac sls. Ever since he bought it, it would randomly die . It ONLY happens when he is coming off the highway going about 70, and applies the brake and it will turn off. This is about the only time it happens though, when you ride around town it rides fine.

Another thing, sometimes when it dies it takes about 10-15 minutes to start back up. Sometimes, when you turn it off and try to turn it back on it doesn't turn over or anything. I have NO idea what the problem is. I just thought I could ask OT before we took it somewhere and get jacked around.

If it's not cranking, that sounds like an interlock problem -- something, somewhere, is telling the car it isn't ready to start the engine, kinda like what happens if you try to crank it with the gear selector in Drive.
