    I'm looking to buy a dolby digital receiver. Dolby digital decoder. It must have the following features.

    S-video switching:
    At least 2 S-video inputs:
    At least 2 component video inputs:
    At least 2 optical digital audio inputs:
    DTS decoding:
    Headphone jack:

    Looking to pay under $500. Any suggestions? thanks.

    I like my onkyo sr500...
    I got it as an open box for $250...
    what kind of speakers are you hooking up to this? (i.e. - floor standing, or the small type?)

    My Sony STR-DE985 kicks some ass and it's 6.1 dolby pro logic 2 with an ass load inputs and outputs. About $400 to $450

    Pioneer VSX-D811S has all that and more --- and MSRP is under $500 (Stores are usually lower than MSRP)

    looks like a nice reciever. Techman however, said something about the large number of RMA's on Onkyos though, IIRC, but I bet it will be fine.

    i currently have the 1602, had it since summer

    i like it much more than the pioneer, and onkyo that were in the same class, but it only has 1 optical in.
