doing everything right but not getting ripped. missing something?

    ok so my lifting is going great. absolutely great. training hard.
    doing cardio 3 times a week.


    my meals include chicken breast grilled, steamed veggies, fruits, steel cut oatmeal and water. no soda. no juice. plenty of sleep.

    wha telse am i missing

    ive been hard at the gym for a year. i have muscle there but its that effin layer of fat. i m not fat...id say my body fat is def under 14 percent but im not ripped.
    i been trying to get ripped id say for about 10 weeks now. the changse are slow but are tehy supposed to be this slow

    4 day split.
    1. chest and triceps.
    2. back and biceps-cardo 30 min
    3. shoulders-cardio 30 min
    4. legs
    5. cardio day 30 min
    i started deadlifting as well probably 3 months ago. i switch up my reps. 6 weeks ill go heavy. 6 weeks ill pyramid. just to keep my workout from going stale. i switch from different exerices. ok here are my meals

    1. when i wake up i drink 2 scoops of protein with an apple 8am
    2. 2 hrs later i eat a cup of steel cut oatmeal 10am
    3. for lunch12-1pm i eat grilled chicken with salad and no dressing. or in a whole wheat wrap or with a side of veggies
    4. as soon as i get home at 530pm i drink a shake then off to the gym
    5. get home around 730pm and drink post workout drink.
    6. 830-930pm ill eat chicken breast with veggies
    7. before bed cottage cheese with an apple

    while i see some of your point...then why come here bro, just go back too BB.com, dont keep bashing or causing trouble. Theres no need and honestly its old and im too tired to deal with it. Just let it go, you want to help the noobs then just help.

    sorry if im doing something wrong. why is 3 times a week for cardio no good? i mean i figured if it got my diet and training right and incorporated cardio things would fall into place.
    i dont understand the bashing or why people laugh.
    and pt. there was a point in time when you didnt know fucking shit. dont be so fucking high on yourself. granted i dont know everything and maybe im stupider than you but if you are so smart why dont you try and pass knowledge to those who really need it rather than saying this forum is going to the shits. its people like you who make this toilet go to shit. rather than putting people down or maknig people feel stupd because they might not be doing things right, why not try to help them without making them feel inferior. its poeple like you who make this forum go to shit.

    i was looking to get the right asnwers here and again granted i might not know as much as you i seriously want to get my shit right and cant figure it out. i thought if i had all the basics down things would work out but im at this point where if eel like im stuck. im training extremely hard. i weigh 180 lbs and im repping 315 on the bench in last year i started at 205. ive gained 10 lbs of lean mass according to my doctor during my annual check up. my stomach has gotten smaller. of all the forums around the web this is one of the best ive seen.

    Why because someone thought they were doing the right thing but infact isn't?

    That is the point of these forums to ask for help and critques. Then hopefully people who know what they are doing like pur can help them.

    i try to stay under 50grams per day?

    i think i get my fat mainly from a little bit of olive oil in my salad and on my grilled chicken while cooking it.

    im thinking im not waiting long enough sincei just started this recently. do i need a year or so?

    and am i allowed a cheat day.

    I would say your diet is your major problem as it usually is when someone can't seem to lose weight. Try cutting out that apple, maybe the oats too if you are getting a reasonable amount of carbs from other sources.
