i actually have been thinking about alternatives to buying a dip belt. I was going to try holding a db between my feet but it was too awkward. anyone have any ideas? I will probably just break down and buy a dip belt. Suggestions?

I pictured lifting in a leather mask and a ball gag, with a leash working well with the ladies

I can just imagine the looks he'll get at his gym or even when women look and he tries to start a convo.

That's what people actually do w/o a belt. Cross the legs and place the DB near the knee (upper part of the calves). Of course you need someone to place the DB for you.

I saw a broly doing pullups in a squat rack using a barbell with that same method, only by himself...he set up the pins so that he could unrack the barbell in the pits of his knees at the very bottom of the rep.

I tried "grabbing" the DB off the floor with my feet but it didn't work.
This is the 1st gym i've ever been to that didn't have a dip belt.

How about placing the DB on a bench/box/seat first?
