Does Xtend somehow mix better than bulk BCAA?

    because if it doesn't, then the only real advantage would be teh flavoring system? Could I not just add bulk bcaa to some sugar free lemonade mix to make it taste decent enough? Just wondering if Xtend is something special enough to justify the price over bulk BCAA.

    Extend is way overpriced. Has a shit ton of fillers added and gives unbearable heartburn. Bulk bcaa + dilute crystal light is your friend.

    I never had a problem mixing xtend. I've heard bulk bcaas taste like complete ass even when mixed

    i remember its a pretty bad taste, but i think i was able to chug it down fast. cant remember if i attempted mixing it flavored though

    why? it's a fuckign blender that isn't going to mix BCAAs any better than a mixer

    leucine is hydrophobic and solubilizes quite poorly, regardless of the method used--please stop.

    1/2 bulk bcaa and 1/2 xtend mix (or i do a scoop of bulk leucine and 2 scoops xtend) gets more mileage out of the xtend and tastes good...

    Best method i've found for mixing is to swirl it around in a shaker cup a few times over about 5 minutes. The more aggressive you are shaking or using a mixer the more it foams up and becomes a nightmare. So Acciaio your magic bullet rip off would be a worse idea than a $5 shaker cup...

    Let the foam form and mix it a minute later, it'll all dissolve. Not that difficult.

    Oh I wasn't aware that it foamed. Put a drop of cinnamon oil in it. It's an antifoaming agent and it tastes good. Or spray it with a bit of Pam.

    I always put the BCAAs into shaker, give it a shake, then let it sit for a while (drive to the gym), then shake it again. Never had a problem.

    Just let it sit for a while and it mixes better.

    I think it was Timberwolf who suggested mixing the bcaa the night before and letting it sit in the fridge until the morning workout.

    I use 4 scoops in 22oz of room temp water and it's dissovled by the time I go to the gym. With cold water, it does take longer, but I don't like my drinks cold when I workout. I've been drinking xtend forever. It does mix better than raw bcaa's due to how it's blended. Buying bulk BCAA's will always be a better value, especially when I sell a kilo for 27 bucks :big grin:. The concept of mixing both has been used by many.

    Unless you're trying to cram way too much xtend per oz, it mixes just fine. If I tried to do 6 scoops in the same amount, it wouldn't work, but I don't see any reason to use that much personally.

    I mix it before I go to the gym and by the time I get there it's fine.
