Just curious. I'm not asking anyone to help me steal anything.
I don't remember if it did or not when I installed it. Seeing as how this is Microsoft and all, I'm gonna go with yeah.
Well, that's the thing. All the computers I have at work already had WGA installed, so I can't test it. And I don't want to install it on my home computer and find out it's gone and slapped WGA on there.
(I'll be happy to post a pic of my valid WinXP license if anyone wants to bitch about it. I just don't want WGA, 'cause fuck Microsoft.)
When installing it I did see a point in the install where it said checking product key, but I don't have anything WGA related on the system after the install.
Ooh, I just remembered, I have a WGA-free VM I can test it on.
I was about to say I can test it on a VM, but if you've got it covered feel free to report back
Verdict: no, sp3 doesn't come with WGA. Microsoft Update still insists on installing it, though.
You don't have to explain that to me, let me tell you.
I keep it off of my build just because I can. Fuck MS.
And I've got a full retail set of 32bit/64bit XP pro.
As far as i'm concerned, once I type in the serial key, they need to leave my computer alone until I say so.
