Meh, not my thing. But if the two of you like to drink, gamble and see shows I guess it would be good.

Cool idea. My bf had the same idea...except he was going to pay for all of it.

Vegas is fun just walking around and finding shit to do. See a show (let her pick), don't gamble too much. Lay by a pool, get drunk, etc. There's tons of cheesy shit there now.

we prolly will just drink one night; maybe 2, prolly 2.... i doubt we will be gambling a whole lot too. i love poker, but it would bore her too much; i dont think the pools are open for the season....

geez you guys must think im baller crew (pay for her shopping?)

vegas is fun - you guys will have fun. You're right, it's not really hot and sunny there now - a pool day might not work out.. :(

I would say pick up her bar tab, and either take her to Tiffany's in the shops at Caesar's Palace and let her pick out a b-day/v-day piece of jewelry (if that's her thing) and/or take her somewhere REALLY nice for dinner. Like, 5 course fancy.

Or, buy her a nice day at one of the spas in the fancier hotels/casinos while you play poker, then you'll both be happy.

I've honestly never eaten a nice dinner in Vegas, but I go to Atlantic City ALOT, and I've eaten many nice dinners there. Generally the casino will try to uphold their reputation in every location. In that sense, I can recommend any restaurant at Caesar's. Try Rao's in Caesar's it's Italian. Also, any of the more luxury hotels.casinos are bound to have nice places to eat. I've seen Circo in Bellagio on the travel channel a few times. It's classy and Italian. I've also heard that Fusia (which is Asian) and the Luxor steak house in the Luxor are pretty goods eats, too.

I'm don't have first hand experience, this is all just hearsay, so hopefully someone who has eaten at an upscale place can chime in.. :hs:

shes turning 21 in vegas... I dont see anything wrong with dutch.

She wants to go. I'll go w.her. But Im not footing the bill. I wasnt going to spend more than 100 dollars between v-day(2/14) and her b-day (2/15)

If i didnt go, no one else would go to vegas with her....... and she wouldnt go alone.

    I did that for my g/f's 22nd.

I covered airfare and our (both of ours) portions of the house and rental car we rented with friends. And naturally, I paid for most of her food and drinks as well.
She still had to spend some money (i'm not rich here) but she basically got a 4day trip to Vegas and spent a total of maybe $100 including gambling.
I'm not a huge party guy, but her and I both had a blast! Def. planning to go back within a year or so.

I mean it's kinda shitty she has to go dutch, but Vegas isn't exactly cheap guys, especially accommodations on the weekend.. :hsugh: I wouldn't turn my nose up to spending my 21st in Vegas with someone I cared about, even if I had to pay my airfare or whatever. I dunno, maybe that's just me.. I spent my 21st in central PA haha..

I gotta say, I'm a little jealous that I don't get to go to Vegas for my b-day, which is ON v-day. Instead, I have 7 dates on Valentine's Day.. :ugh:

....my professor and 6 classmates and instead of an elegant dinner, we'll be talking about some HOT topic related to the management of balance disorders. Wahooo

It's not bad to split the cost, it's just not a birthday gift. You aren't giving her anything. Sure you can argue your time, but...yeah, that's kind of standard and not anything birthday gift worthy. You spend time with her all the time. This is her birthday.

Do what you want, but don't claim this is a nice "gift" for her.

Go see Zumanity at NYNY... then immediately go back to your hotel room because you'll both be so horny

Seriously though, its a really entertaining show, with great T&A for both sexes

I spent my 21st birthday in Vegas  but that was too many years ago to comment. I had a blast drinking and gambling, and going to the strip clubs.

I just went to Vegas in October, and had a really great time. We didn't go see any shows, but we did go see the Bodies exhibit at the Tropicana, it was incredible. As far as restaurants go, we didn't eat anywhere fancy - mostly saved our money for gambling and drinks.
