Where are you at? The BiMarts in the northwest have the regular models on sale regularly for $160. I think both those models are the same, go for the cheaper one.

walmart had some basic hardwood 10/22 for less.

Personally, I'd get a Marlin 60 for bolt or 795 for semi.

Big 5's prices on 10/22's, at least at the Big 5s around here, are atrocious. If your local walmart carries them, go there.

That big 5 model and the walmart model are the same.

Walmart has them for 193.88 here. That's regular pricing too, not sale price.

I ended up picking one up from Big 5. My local WalMart doesn't carry rifles and Rettings was all the way across town.

$220 plus another $17 for an extra 10-shot mag.

Did the 220 include the tax and background check?

That's what they are OTD at walmart so that's why I ask.

Nope. $219 plus $25 for background check. I might have been able to get one a little cheaper with a 2-3 hour roundtrip drive but fuck that.

Except now I hear basspro is going to have them for under $200 in a minute

That's a great deal because if you plan on modding it, you'll probably end up replacing everything but the receiver.

I think it's 2 bucks at the shop I go to? I'm not sure if the shop I go to even charges me for them anymore.
