I've been buying Chicken of the Sea brand for a while and it's usually about $1/can but found another kind (HY-TOP or something) that is 49 cents a can... not a big deal but I eat 2 cans a day so that's $365 a year :dunno:

To be honest the cheaper shit tastes better, just wondering about quality of meat/mercury content/etc...

It's really up to you if you can afford $365 a year or not.

I rather have some spicy tuna or tuna tartar with a wasabi based sauce.

I've never cared about smaller items like that but when you see it as yearly expense... $365 is a couple months of car insurance, nearly a year of motorcycle insurance, most of a rent payment, cell phone for 4 months, hotel/travel costs of a couple nights in vegas, etc...

It's not a lot of money at all each week but when you think of it like "it all adds up" then I start to think where else I could save money. The rich don't get rich by spending where they don't need to :mamoru:

Remember though broseph, don't sacrifice personal health/brollyhood/jacked'n'tan-ness for vegas, hotelling, or riding a motorcycle.

I've never cut cost either... between September 2008 and December 2008 I averaged like $650/mo on groceries for myself alone and that isn't including toiletries, household items, eating out, beer, or liquor, literally just food items bought at a grocery store. I just wanted to know if this was a reasonable place to save money :o

I would stock up a few weeks worth on key items when they were on sale and it was the cheapest non-walmart/shittyplace grocery store in town :o

You'd be lucky to get $400/month for Motorcycle insurance here in Toronto :squint:

Me too. Shit got a bit outta control. Even sadder that it was all whole healthy food, not a bunch of snacks and fatty shit. Now depending on how strictly I'm keeping the diet that week I can keep it under $50 a visit.
