I'm heading up to a local ANG base to get my ID. I'm just a weird kind of non deployable, non active IRR reservist right now. I was just gonna wear a polo shirt.

Oh and how long are these IDs good for?

    I'm not that stupid. :mamoru:

For you, since you you're not even really military yet, a polo should be fine.

When you get commissioned - you'll need to go down and get a new one anyway. Get that one in uniform.

I am commissioned but I won't be doing jack shit till at least 2 years. I figure I'll be able to get a new picture in uniform when I go active and get 'promoted'.

you don't need to be in uniform. wear whatever. I recommend growing a mustache first, though.

No. Just a tip, don't wear black. I wore a black shirt, now you can't see my date of birth on the back since it's right under the small pic.

Take orders - go to any nearby military installation and get ID made. Most reserve Army or Nasty Guard will have an ID card machine.

    Find a site here:

    http://www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl/owa/home

Call them and see if your info is in DEERS...before you go.

At least that is the process I was told to do. On the phone they indicated I was all set and all I needed was 2 forms of ID (one picture govt issue) and ss card. I'm going to take my contract and DA-71 anyways in case of a snafu.

    wtf is up with that

the lady asked me, i told her (i wasn't entirely sure, question sort of came out of nowhere, but i'm 90% sure its right :hsugh: )

probably should find out at some point, its weird its not on any of my medical stuff, you'd think they'd do the antibody test when they took all that blood stuff anyways
