Does Firefox work for 15 in. Powerbook? What about extensions?

Discussion in 'OT Technology' started by Clipperland10, Nov 20, 2004.

  1. The suggested hardware req. on Mozilla's site is Power Mac with specifications far above what is in Apple's laptops. Does FF still run (without freezes, glitches, memory leaks, etc.) on Apple laptops? And do the extensions work on the Mac OS (using a PC right now)?

Yes, it'll work fine. Works fine on my 12" ibook and I'm sure it would be at least as good on a pb. As for extensions, "some" are os-specific. But the fast majority will work regardless of the platform. I wouldn't recommend trying to copy your pc profile to os x, as it probably won't work too well. You can, however, copy your bookmarks, cookies, ect perfectly fine. I actually wrote a .bat file on my pc to automatically do exactly that.

FF 1.0 works great for me on my 12" iBook too.
As for the extension, most are just perfect but I have had some problems with a very few in the past.
    Adblock is a must have
