It seems like every other person has a Glock. At first I wanted one but the fact that it's so common kinda makes me want something else. :hsugh:

nope. Can't stand how they feel, can't stand the grip angle, can't stand the looks.

Its a gun, not a t-shirt. Buy one because it works, not to show your indviduality.

So, your decision to "not" buy a glock is based on the fact that it's too common? It's very popular amongst the crowd that requires their gun to go "bang" every time they pull the trigger. Is it the "most" reliable, that's argueable. I've had plenty of jams with my Glocks. But for the most part, it's more reliable than most. It's a 20 year old proven design that's still very popular in both the competitive shooting crowd, as well as the LEO crowd. Two groups that are very demanding on their firearms.

It's dog ugly and boring looking, it's got a "unique" grip angle that's an acquired taste and the trigger is pretty horrid. But it's the AK47 of pistols.

With that said, I currently own 4, but have owned 7 at one time.

If you want something "original", it's going to cost ya. Think $4k in a 1911 platform. But you better know exactly what you want.

i like the look of glocks, but they're not the most comfortable pistol i've ever held. if i found a G19 for cheap, i'd probably pick one up :dunno:

I used to have a G17. Got sick of it and sold it. Kinda wish I had it back now, but I don't miss it THAT much. Had it for about 5 years.

hey, no fault in that. Many other folks use much less meaningful things to use as an expression of individuality. Like cars, clothes, etc.

They're tools at an extent for me, but I know what you mean, it feels good to have something you're proud of. :bigthumb:

They're great for carry... Plus they're pretty reliable, decent price, come in plenty of sizes and calibers. All around they're pretty good guns.

I only own mine because of carry... if I didn't carry I'd probably own something "funner" instead of buying the glock.

XD because it was more comfortable in my hand. Get a gun that "fits" you. Reliabilty is key, but so is the way it fits your hand, does it need to be concealed, if so will it conceal with what you normally wear etc etc etc.

I don't own a Glock, but my dad has a G17. So it's there if I ever need it. I actually did my CHL qualifying with it 3 1/2 years ago.

I do not, they're alright but just not my favorite thing to shoot. I might wind up with a g20 or 29 one day though just because 10mm choices are quite limited.

Yes, Glocks are all about pure functionality. I don't buy guns to be in style. Now if they look cool then that is a bonus, but functionality is the number one priority for guns. And Glocks fit that characteristic perfectly.

No. But when I get a bigger boat I might get one or two to hide onboard since they don't really rust.
