I'm somewhat of a fitness newb. Start working out (running and lifting) and eating healthy about 3 months ago to lose weight and get healthier. About a month ago I started to incorporate myoplex lite bars and shakes into my diet. I've noticed much less soreness now. I've also been having much better workouts.

Is it all in my head...or is this stuff really working?

I dont know the answer to your question but I typically drink a myoplex lite (if I have them) or a protein shake with some glucosamine in it post-workout.

the addition of more calories, protein specifically, that you are getting from the myoplex could be what is contributing to a better recovery. if you were to start eating more solid food in place of the myoplex it would probably have the same effect. if its working for you stick with it :dunno:

if you are a newb then you should definitely read the stickies, there is a ton of great info in there.

I've been browsing the stickies. :bigthumb:

I am eating plenty of solid food. I have a nice diet plan going. I eat around 8 small meals a day. 2 of those meals are some form of myoplex lite, one of the 2 myoplex meals is immediately after a workout. The other time is about 3 hours after the first meal of the day (normally egg whites).

What I am doing is deffinately working. I have dropped over 30lbs of fat, and deffinately gained muscle.

    good for you.

once you get tired of the myoplex you can definitely get a better bang for your buck out of buying some bulk whey protein. it's not the same as a myoplex cause it will have less carbs/fat so you might have to make up those calories elsewhere but your wallet will thank you.
