Does compact flash have a read/write limit

    I've read that some flash memory has read/write limitations...you can only write X number of times to it or something.. does compact flash have a limit? anyone know?

    found it CF is NAND flash which has a rewrite limit of 1 million. Anyone know of any flash memory which doesnt have a limit?

    yes it does. ive had flash stick slowly die on me. it's a slow process

    Its a limitation of the flash technology, not the interface & package specification (compact flash).

    Im not sure if its true or not but I'd be supprised if a harddrive could do more data cycles?
