    and close the lid?

I mean, it doesn't have to power its own display, and the only new power draw is from the DVI line. :dunno:

I have to give a presentation, and the slideshow is setup on my MBP. The room has a projector and screen, but no outlets within reach.

don't see why not. Your battery won't last the lenght of the presentation?

no display, no wireless, no bluetooth, your battery should last a LONG time.

So if I want to run it off the battery I have to leave it open?

I guess I could dim the screen, turn off wireless/BT, and go into ultra energy saver mode. :o
