I can't speak for the Nikon grips, but all the 3rd party grips I've seen/felt (Opteka included) felt cheap compared to the Canon ones.

No, dude. It's fucking awesome. Get it now. Opteka makes the best equipment. That's why you'll never see any good reviews on them, ever. No one wants to let the secret out.

fuck you man, i haven't seen any reviews, that's why i'm asking. You offered no input on the grip, so i asked if you had used it.

Buy the right thing the first time, don't lose money on it down the road when you decided you messed up. Just get the MB-D10, you won't regret it.

The MB-D10 is AWESOME. Just as solid as the camera, and a step above all the previous Nikon grips.

You get what you pay for.

i've personally used 3rd party grips and they're horrible. This is one situation where sticking with the brand name is 100% worth it.
