GUN does anyone have experience with a HK usp tact. (.45) ?

    my dad is looking to get one. i was just wondering if there were any drawbacks to it other than the price :)

    size. the width is the only downside that i know of. a 1911 or compact 1911 would be my choice for a slimmer .45. or a compact glock chambered in .45. if your body size permits the wider frame and slide of the HK, go for it.

    already have one of those :naughty: right now he is looking at the glock 21 (.45) but he really wants the HK its just costs a little bit more...ok a LOT more....

    Any particular reason he wants the Tactical? Other than the (slightly) adjustable trigger and threaded barrel, there's not really any difference from a regular USP....which will only come in about %150 the price of the G21 instead of %225 :big grin:

    actually the Tac also has an O-ring barrel, which will improve accuracy.

    thats the main reason why he wants it over the reg. usp.

    He should probably try and shoot both and see if he finds it really makes a difference. ;)

    damn, usp's in .45 are just so damn big. the socom is about as big as a DE .50. the rest of them aren't that much smaller.

    I really wouldn't want one much bigger than my standard USP .45.

    I like mine. The only downside I find is that it won't shoot Wolf ammo. It just seizes up in the barrel.
