I've been very much so interested in getting a Japanese/Asian influenced tattoo lately. Although there is probably nothing more well suited to be on the body than Japanese traditional work, I've been leaning towards a more modern and western interpretation of the genre. Does anyone have one that they can post? I'll give some examples:

I like most of these, but I am not much into color. All of these would look great in black and grey though.

I'm actually looking for a combination between the two for a half sleeve. I want some new school animals with a more tradition Japanese background like this(no idea what its actually called):

Those are all by Craig Driscoll. He's in San Diego. I'm not really sure of the shop's name, but I'm sure you can find more info at www.craigdriscoll.com.

I guess they would call these the new school Japanese. I personally like both traditional and modern.

lemme clarify somethin, this piece was done on one of john's friends (john being the artist).

i only posted it up cause it was a prime example of what i thought was "modern new school japanese" work. He's located in cali and if i could i'd love to fly out there and get a piece done.

Covering some gangsta ass tattoos I see. New work looks good. Are there more sessions for you in the future or are you finished?
