    prices?

My gym is an hour round trip. I used to train 6 days a week. Now I'm down to 3 or 4, and saving about $100 (maybe more?) a month in gas from the days I don't go. :hs:

    That sucks. :hs:

Mine is a good 25 miles away, but I work ~3 miles from the gym, so I'm up here anyways. :dunno:

It hit $1.55 a litre here just in time for the 1200mile drive I have to do next week.

Now the days I do go are the days I am able to go straight from gym, saving me a half hour each day (can only do 2 days during the week), and then Saturday and Sunday when my wife and I carpool to the gym together. Gives me time to work on my yard the other days I would have trained, and play outside with my dogs during the nice Spring we're having. So that's good I guess.

It just hit 3.56 a gallong here and I drive about 60 miles or sound round trip about 4-5 times a week. And my truck doesn't get great gas mileage, but this is something that is importnat to me so I sacrafice and make it work. i may not drink as much on a weekend or eat out as much. But BJJ is important to me and eating out and drinking are now. I'd much rather eat healthy at home and cook.

1 hr 20 min 6x a week. Yuck. But I'm doing a 3 week live in training w/ ATT then a 1 1/2 week with BTT. So a little over a month I won't be paying for gas.

I picked my gym because it was within walking distance. I'm moving soon and will be picking a new gym.

I still go to the gym as much, if not more. But I sure as hell hit the cruise control at 65. My gym is a total of 14mi from the house so its not that bad. I literally have a gracie-barra school right across the street but I like the gym I'm at now.

There has been a steady exodus of students from my gym after the owner downsized it to about 40% of the original size with the same amount of students.

No more room for the ring or bags, no proper changerooms, all for the same monthly fee. :ugh2:

I know the owner will give me hard feelings when I tell him I'm not renewing but that's his problem not mine. I won't feel bad at all.

I'm thinking of going to Universal, I know there's a couple guys on here that train there. :wavey:

I was thinking of moving closer so I wouldn't have to change gyms. I have too many good friends I hang out with outside of training to want to leave my gym.

same, but i actually ended up moving even farther away. i don't want to leave my friends and the owner of the gym has done a lot for me. there's also alot of beef between him and delagrotte so i can't train at both places, which i would love to do. sucks, but oh well. not like i'm trying to make my living as an ultimate fighter since seeing bonnar vs griffin. although i would love to have a career in the sport of UFC

You could save a ton of money if you bought a scooter or a brotorcycle.

I'm lucky cause my gym is only 3 miles away so during summer I just ride my bike there.
