Not taking into consideration his size.. but his current ability.. Or is this a case of no having enough guys to fight so he fights him by default.

Why does Alistair even deserve to fight Fedor? People are sayingAlistair sucks, he's shit in MMA, never fights top competition, etc

    What do you guys think?

no current HW is a worthwhile opponent for fedor. he's clearly in a league of his own

Alistair and Lesnar are the only contenders right now because they're the current title holders in their respective mma organizations

I fucking hate overeem, but he is a fucking beast, KD'd the most dangerous striker in K1 WGP, took to a very close decision the most technical striker in K! WGP, He hasnt lost in mma for 2 years now, and has smashed through all of his competition (be it C and B level fighters).

Yes, he deserves a shot, there is only Werdum to fight him, Strikeforce isnt going to make a play on any HW's in the UFC that deserve a shot at him, this is another case of finicky fucking fans finding something else to cry about.

Not to mention Fedor has fought people MUCH less worthy people throughout his career.

    Strikeforce doesn't have anybody else.

It's either Overeem or Werdum, and between the two I'd rather see Overeem because Werdum is a doofus, talk about a poor man's, poor man's Noguiera.

Just as an FYI - Fedor, Overeem and Werdum are all literally shit shit compared to Brock Lesnar.

Overeem is the only next logical fight for Fedor.

Yeah I'd love to see Overeem vs Fedor, in the United States, so Overeem is tested appropriately.

Not that I mind if Overeem is juicing, just I don't want him dethroning Fedor on account of his retard strength, generated by the juice.

on top of that, it's logical to combine the WAMMA and Strikeforce belts

I still want to see Fedor vs. Barnett. I hear he is in talks with Strikeforce. That being said, I would look forward to Fedor against Overeem as well.

I'd be happy if he rides out his M-1 contract fighting those two, then jumps ship to UFC and retires with them.

    Fuck WAMMA.

Very wrong. Carwin, Lesnar, Cain, and a couple others would all give Fedor more than he could handle

Fedor must be the only fighter alive where people think less and less of him the more he wins.

When he fights better people, and not ex-ufc champs that were such because of a weak division, I will think he is the #1 guy.

He's pretty good. He looked good against the no-names he's been fighting. Shogun beat him up pretty good though. I don't think He'd beat Fedor.

First, I'm not a big believer in the whole discussion over whether so-and-so "deserves" to fight so-and-so. I think if you're a fighter, you should fight. And if you're the champion, yeah you should fight the best guys first, but you should fight everybody who wants to fight you. But since Fedor isn't going to fight forever, I guess he's going to pick and choose his opponents.

Second, there are two belts running around Strikeforce right now. It may not be a big deal, but I personally don't like that. I would definitely put them against each other and have only one champion. Who deserves a shot at the champion more than the other champion?

Last, if not him, then who? Who else is Fedor going to fight? He'd kill Silva. I like Werdum but he wouldn't last a round. Fedor already gave Rogers a good look at the ceiling. The only other guy who would be interesting is Lashley (he's with Strikeforce, right?).

So I say yeah, give him his shot.

Overeem is excellence. He is a great test for Fedor. He has legit submissions and outrageous stand up.

The days of him gassing are from when a man THAT huge was cutting to 205 and fighting in 10 minute rounds in Pride.

    Overeem by TKO.

Carwin was nearly out after getting hit by Gonzaga, who hits hard but doesn't throw combinations. If Fedor connects a few in a row, Carwin will be done. His only shot is GnP without getting caught in a submission.

Cain? No way. Good wrestling, good striking, but not strong enough to keep Fedor down and he will lose the striking game.

    Lesnar. Sure why not.

A couple others? wtf who would a couple others be? Mir? Dos Santos? Barry?
No way man, all have strengths in one department but not the overall game that Fedor's got. You're crazy.
