I hate running.. I'm not fat at all but I want to do some cardio since I don't play sports anymore

Plus my town has a lot of hills :wiggle:

Anyone here bike, and if you do what kind of bike do you have?

    Thanks

I bike once a week, with that frequency likely to increase with the triathlon coming up.

road bikes are faster, but most people would probably prefer a mountain bike/hybrid bike (flat handlebar, skinny-ish tires) for city riding b/c the posture is more comfortable :dunno:

go look at the cycle cross bike. They are essentially a road bike with mountain bike features.

I'm looking for a bike mostly on dirt roads. Should I get a full suspension, or hard tail? I'll be on dirt roads mostly because there are no shoulders on the roads near my house. What's a decently priced full suspension beginner's bike to get new?

This quote reminds me of why I like running. "There are clubs you can't belong to, neighborhoods you can't live in, schools you can't get into, but the roads are always open."

All you have to do is throw on some shoes and go, you can do it anywhere and the experience is always different, its great.
