It's not a marketing idea, it's what happens when politics gets involved with business.

It's also very unlikely anything will happen to the Wrangler.

    Getting rid of the wrangler?

Jeep is a worthless brand with out the wrangler.

"Jeep, yeah we won the world wars for you...but now we just make mall rated grocery getters for you wife/mom."

I can't see them getting rid of the wrangler, I own a 88 Wrangler and there's a huge group of people that are Jeepoholics, it must be a good selling vehicle for them

how's that possible - it's like Land Rover getting rid of the Range Rover

how about they get rid of the patriot and liberty and compass all those quasi SUVs that seem to be eating each others lunch?

Range rovers are pure junk, I work part time at my buddies shop and a 4 year old range rover came in with a broken crank shaft..okay we can replace it but you can't get one as they have not been made yet! There are 4 at the dealership sitting in the parking lot with the same problem!

:hsugh: instead they should make only utilitarian, god awful slow yet still fuel thirsty corolla sized [interior] rock climbers where everything but the ascent/descent angle were an after thought, right?
