I love my docking station for work - probably one of the few people who use a docking station for what it's meant for since I dock/undock every single day.

I currently have these plugged into the station:

    - Monitor
    - Mouse
    - Keyboard
    - Wired Ethernet
    - Power

I occasionally add in external HDs, floppy drive, card reader, BB, various other misc devices. The docking station works as it should - press one button and it tells me it's ready to undock, and switches the display to notebook.

So yeah, if you have a problem with a docking station, it's most likely PEBCAK.
