This is all in theory, with no proof or rumors stating it might happen but what if Vince bought the UFC? The man is a multi millionaire and I'm sure he could buy from Dana at a price dana couldn't refuse.

I would imagine vince would start bringing in wrestlers and start having freak show matches between great MMA fighters and huge 6'7 400 lb wrestlers.
He would definitely focus on the storylines and make the the UFC a show that is bigger then just a fighting organization.

I know he screwed up with the XFL, but MMA isn't as big of a departure from wrestling as football. McMahon is a marketing genius and I'm surprised he hasn't looked into this yet (maybe he has) or started his own figthing organization.

The UFC has definitely done well under Dana's ownership in terms of growth and exposure. In my opinion Vince would make the show even bigger and more popular, but at the expense on de-legitimizing the sport. The fights would still be real, but there would so much hollywood and drama involved that true fans would be sickened and all of a sudden there'd be fanboys saying 'ufc rox0rszzzz' even more so then the TUF noobs.

Still do you think it would be good for the sport in terms of being more socially accepted, and if thats case wouldn't it just provide more fire and support for Pride to get regulation in the US?

    Vince doesn't own the UFC.

He could... but I don't see it happening, ever. Especially with what's going on now.

yeah I think with MMA trying to gain legitimacy as a sport that would be the worst possible thing that could happen under any circumstances.

Dana doesn't own the UFC, Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta do. They have deeper pockets than Vince McMahon...OG vegas casino/mob money.

Actually, it would be kind of fun to watch mma fighters BEAT THE SHIT out of top wwe wrestlers... Granted, most of the fights would end up being staged to make the wrestlers look decent, and thus all legitamatcy would be gone from the UFC...
