between work and commuting, sometimes i can't really put time into games. so i usually won't buy a game until i'm finished with the previous one, since used game prices fall so fast. i currently have a wishlist on Half.com that i update, and i end up buying games for about $25-35 used.

sometimes work will make it so i can't play any games for like 3 weeks or more.

gamefly is $22/mo for 2 games.
to make this worth it for me, i'd have to be finishing at least one game per month and sending it back. this assumes that i never play a game like Fallout 3, where i'm playing it for like 3-4 months straight, then another few weeks with the DLC.

i emailed gamefly to ask them if they care how many times i "cancel"/reactivate my account.

    what do you do?
are you obsessive like me, and feel like you can only do a rental service if you're "beating" them on some level?

I own nearly every gaming system there is.

I own about 37 games on the 360 alone.

Gamefly is worth it for me in that when I go to the store I don't buy any video games anymore since I can just rent it.

how many games a month are you going through? has this saved you money in the long run? part of the reason i cancelled my own account was that i started to obsess about getting through games because i felt like there was a meter running.

if you keep a game for 3 months, you basically bought the game for the 2 games out at once plan.

    (figuring 60+tax)

if i get through one game per month, then i saved roughly $40.

    worth it to me.

i only buy the games i NEED (MP games i play with friends, nhl10). everything else, i rent now. (all single player games)

So like I moved last year and lost DMC4 that I checked out from GF. Do you think they'll refund me the money for the game if I return it now?

just keep two games from them every year (report them lost in shipping). that's like getting 6 months free.

its not like you do it at the same day/month each year.

if it happens randomly, i see no problem.

USPS isnt that good that they dont mess up...
