I try to keep my workouts to a 4 day a week minimum. Because half of the dumbells were being used/no where to be found, I had to improvise with a different routine. With that being said, during my workouts I just feel tired and don't want to stay as long as I want to. 30min vs 60-90min.

You guys think taking a few days off is a good idea? Also, past few days I"ve been getting in on a lot more sleep than I usually do. Diet hasn't changed much either.

    What to do?

Few days off couldn't hurt, just don't let it turn into a week,month,year,life...

with all my old training hell yeah i felt like that all the time because there was so much pain involved (practically all calisthenics and bagwork... hard to do endurance shit alllll the time and actually keep pushing yourself)... now that i'm on weights I don't see any reason ever to not to want to lift... but i mean once i get past the whole noob rush of it all I might feel that way if I actually reach my goals... Sometimes that happens, i'll reach a high point and then stop rather than keep going... I suck.

but that's not wanting to work out at all and no motivation at all... if you're hitting it 30 mins and then just getting physically drained as opposed to just sick of the idea of working out for more time than that, then it may be your diet (if I'm low on carbs and do strenuous activity I crash pretty quick... when I'm high on carbs the strenuous activity puts me in a euphoric state... that's the difference that diet makes).

it usually happens to me when i dont get enough sleep. if it suddenly happens twice in a row, its a sign for me to take a week off from lifting.

I've been at this seriously about a year and a half with intermittent week breaks, and I think it's time for me to stop, take a month off, and then go back to business. I feel burnt out and once I'm actually in the gym, I don't do so bad, but I just feel exhausted the rest of the time. I'm cutting too and it really does suck.

I never feel like working out, ever.

Once I start thought I remember why I drag myself there! It's awesome. :)

Its been a little tough lately yeah. I took a week off a couple months ago and it worked out well. I came back refreshed and felt stronger.

I just listen to my body. I took a few weeks off this dec/jan and I was so afraid I'd gain, but it ended up being the best thing I did.

I started up refreshed and with a new mindset as well....

Going to the gym is the only thing i look forward to each day. My off days are boring and all i do is look forward to getting back in the gym.

Cutting ftl.. sucks some motivation out of me at times, but I stay with it even if I don't feel like it. I hate not making huge gains. I see body improvements, but hate hitting that wall. I look forward to bulking SO much.

That being said, working out and personal fitness has become my life. I couldn't imagine not working out.
