I have the Mac OS X firewall on, but no antivirus since I keep hearing there are no virus's for Macs. Am I being safe enough?

common sense and discretion are way more effective than antivirus -- even on Windows. I do not run AV on my main windows machine and I never have problems... If you just use common sense you'll be fine.

The only thing like that I use is Little Snitch, but that's mostly to keep things from calling out.

If you have FF, you may want to download the ad-block extension along with the no-script extension. That way you can make sure that Sun Java doesn't do weird things.
