i guess i've got it stuck in my head that i should only be eating low GI carbs all day 30/40/30 (p/c/f) before my workouts, and only high GI carbs during/right after and then none at all.

How accurate is this for timing?

i don't mind doing it if that's the better way to do it, makes cooking a hell of a lot easier too

thats how I do it, not because of "timing" for muscle nutrition but because I find it keep me more energized throughout the day. high GI carbs while I'm sitting at work make me feel tired after a while, while low GI keeps me at a more consistent energy level.

EDIT: I do admit to some overthinking cause I try not to have carbs within an hour or 2 of bed as I remember seeing a study or 2 that show insulin can limit GH release

I switch to veggies and low GI carbs past 7pm

  7. I heard carb timing is just a myth. There's nothing wrong with counting calories but people always tend to over complicate things. I usually notice that it's the guys who don't give a shit and just use common sense who always have the best bodies.
